A unique opportunity for students age 14 and up.

Learn all about how to become a professional actor in this hands-on workshop led by professional performer Brendan McCall.  This class will address some of the resources actors can utilize to further their profession. This includes looking at headshots & resumes, type-casting, interviewing with industry professionals, and negotiation techniques.

Born in San Jose, California, Brendan McCall is a director, choreographer, and actor whose work has been presented in over 20 countries on 4 continents. After living and working in New York City for 18 years, he has lived in Oslo, Norway since 2008.

Recent credits include: Guest Writer for Saturdays in the Dark new play series (New York), Director & Co-writer of Ibsen´s Women for West Village Musical Theatre Festival (New York), Choreography for Caftan 2011:Vogue Zaman at the Palais de Congrés (Marrakech, Morocco), Vanya in in new translation of Uncle Vanya by Laura Lynn MacDonald (Oslo, Norway).

He has taught theater and dance courses since 1994, including: Yale School of Drama, New School for Drama, New York University, the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Danshogskolan (Sweden), and The International Theater Academy Norway, where he was Rektor from 2008-10.

He received his BFA with Honors from New York University´s Tisch School of the Arts, and his MFA from Bennington College, Vermont.

Students should bring a headshot and resume to the session.
